This is a picture of me at the Great Wall of China at Badaling in the Spring of 2003. I work for the US Army (see my Army Bio for more details) and try to do a lot of community service work as well, usually through the organizations to which I belong (listed below). Genealogy is something that I like to dabble with when I have time, but since becoming certified in scuba, diving is my main interest. I am also interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine, especially Qigong, and studying Chinese culture, philosophies, and religions. • One year working with the American Red Cross in Germany, including participation in an International Committee of the Red Cross conference in Geneva, Switzerland
• Parking duty at Calvary Chapel Monterey Bay
• Security work for the 100th US Open held at Pebble Beach, CA
• Two years access control for Spirit West Coast - a Christian music concert held at the Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca, CA
• Three years working in the radio room at the Rose Festival Airshow, Hillsboro, OR
• Three years working in the mail room at the MDA Telethon and as gate security at the Last Chance Summer Dance, Portland, OR
• Two years working with community food drive programs in Maryland and Arizona
• Three years as volunteer webmaster for Vocare National, a non-profit, non-denominational Christian renewal organization for young adults
• Four years serving on the Vocare National Steering Committee until 2001, and on the By-Laws and Telecommunications sub-committees
• Two years serving on the Oregon Vocare Steering Committee as Publicity Chair and Editor of the Bee-Attitudes newsletter
• Two years participating in the MS Walk
• One year participating in the National Kidney Foundation Walk
